Stephen A Is Right, Everybody

By now, most of you have read the LA Times' Daily News interview with Stephen A. Smith. Smith suggests, plainly and without malice, that those of us in the blogosphere are "wreckless," and sabotaging the traditional media with our untrained, unqualified opinions.

Look, it's pretty obvious at this point that we know nothing about the NFL. Or sports. Or anything else. Until last week, I thought Pat Benatar was a guy. But we were just over here having a good time. We never meant to hurt anybody.

I would like to thank Mr. Smith for having the courage to stand up against the blogging masses and their "formats" that are out to take advantage of the poor, helpless, national media. Also, on behalf of all the contributors here at KSK (even Drew!), we would like to take up our portable digital assistants and join him in his quest for the salvation of the common..."viewer."

And so, we're shutting KSK down.

We're shutting it down because, really, who among us is better served with multiple sources for opinion and insight. Surely, that responsibility must be left to the hard-working, unbiased sports journalists that hold such high standards for their subjects, and their work.

Do we really think, "without any credentials whatsoever," that average joes like US can watch a game and then actually have the cognizance to DISCUSS it? FORMULATE OPINIONS about it?

Who do we think we are? we are not a professional! We are not a person in "the industry!" Show me your "credentials," show me your "format," you untrained scum. We and our "internet business" must be stopped. And so, we stop it today.

Eh, just kidding. We're staying put. Fuck you, Stephen A!
